Title: Food and Drug Contamination - Public Health Menace!
Synopsis of talk:
Prof Kent Olson will give a talk on contaminated food and fake drugs and its impact on consumers. This talk will include a discussion of various cases including poisoned watermelons, caustic depilatory cream, synthetic cannabinoids, and fake alprazolam and how the Poison control centre can play a role in toxicovigilance.
This talk is open to all. Whether you are nurses, paramedical staff, pharmacists or doctors, this topic will help raise awareness of the danger of food and drug contamination and what to expect with its proliferation.
